I am going into the Olympics Thursday to do that very thing. You could also go to Paradise at Mt Rainier, or the PCT at Snoqualmie or Stevens Pass.

I am going to Tacoma for family and was thinking about checking out some new gear in the cold.  Any ideas where I can drive my rental car to and park away from the noise for next Monday the 11th. perhaps close to the trail?
