[pct-l] Getting to Kennedy Meadows

I assume you mean KM South, just before you enter the Sierra, not KM north,
on the Sonora Pass Road. KM South to VVR in two weeks is a slow trip.

The closest you can get via public transport is Pearsonville, but you may
be able to get the Eastern Sierra bus driver to drop you off on 395 on the
road to Kennedy Meadows (9 mile canyon road). It is not a very difficult
hitch from there. If you can't, 9 mile canyon road is just a few miles
north of Pearsonville

take the Metrolink bus from LAX to the Metrolink station

Metrolink to Lancaster (Green Line)

Then
http://www.estransit.com/routes-schedule/395-routes/mammoth-lakes-to-lancaster/
from Lancaster to Perasonville, or to the road to KM if they will let you.
