The comment below is the latest in a series following on from a suggestion that there was a vertigo-inducing stretch in the San Felipe Hills.  Several people have commented that they don’t recall such a place.

I suggest that the original poster was thinking of the San Jacintos, not the San Felipe Hills, and in particular the section near Apache Peak.  I believe it has been subject to fire closure at some point since then.  As accurately stated below, that would be north of Warner Springs.
