If you go with that option, better look into it closely. The PCT was specifically routed around the San Gorgonio Wilderness. It is heavily used and heavily protected. If you enter that wilderness you will be checked for a permit and there is a quota. It would be best to get that lined up well in advance.

It's a beautiful area.

I was just doing some work to assess my options for getting thru the Lake Fire Closure.  I was contemplating the Vivian Trail over San Gorgonio per Halfmile’s Map.I learned today that there is a survey crew assessing the trail repair as early as today.  Perhaps we’ll have a PCTA update soon.TheOldGuy
