[pct-l] Looking for Recommendations on Phone Cases/Protection

I also use the Lifeproof on trail and love it. Not overly cumbersome given the protection, and it does not have the 'tin can' effect that some cases do. Downsides--expensive; to reach the headphones jack you need a specially designed connector (comes with the case) to screw into the jack. I just keep it attached to the headphones, so that is not a significant detriment. The power cord that comes from Apple fits fine through the case, but some car chargers have a bit too much bulk near the tip of the charger and will not get past the case.

...but don't the waterproof cell phone cases make you sound like you're in a can?

I used Lifeproof Fre. Very waterproof and rugged. I'm a land surveyor and SAR volunteer, so its had it's workout!
