According to Scientific American,Deet is a neurotoxin. But that really does not matter. I was going on my reaction to it. I trust that something that makes me dizzy,nauseous and aggravates my unfortunate problem with altitude is something for me to avoid. People who tolerate it are lucky. I hate mosquitoes too. Nothing was worse than Yellowstone south to Shoshone Lake on the CDT Nightmare!!!
