Are you ready for the rain?

Pack your pack, put on your rain gear or pack cover, whatever you plan to
take, and have your beloved or a neighbor spray you down with a hose from
all angles for 20 minutes.  Then, walk around until dark, and set up your
tent on wet ground while you get lightly sprinkled with the hose.

Do you have a dry sleeping bag and reasonably dry place to lay it out?

Is your food, warm gear, electronics, and maps okay for the night, and for
the next day?

Any changes needed for your rain, gear, or packing strategy?
