[pct-l] Mt Whitney and East Portal

I understand that with my PCTA permit I may summit Mt. Whitney.  However, without a 'slot' to exit Mt. Whitney via a left turn at Trail Crest for resupply at Lone Pine returning to the PCT via Trail Crest.  I have NO options to use the East Portal down or back up and over.  Do I have that right?

PS Thanks Brick for getting us back up on the Listserv.  I was missing my daily fix.
