[pct-l] Start Date for California Section of PCT

Hello all,

I am planning to hike from the southern trail head of the PCT to Castella,
CA (the top of Castle Crags) during the summer of 2017. If I am only hiking
this portion of the trail, what do you all think the best start date is, in
order to avoid storms, snow, and extreme heat as much as possible?
