Wandering Bob said, " White Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, Rainy Pass, and
Hart's Pass (via Winthrop) are devoid of public transport options; you'd
have to hitch."

At White Pass, hitch 20 miles west to Packwood.  You can get a county bus
to Chehallis on I-5 3 times a day, Monday to Friday.  Chehallis might have
bus transit, or get a cab the few miles to Centralia and catch Amtrack.
