Leah,
In the desert, water is a luxury and you won't clean clothes between towns.
Just getting enough water to properly wash your hands and face can be an
effort at times.
In the Sierra, you'll find more lakes and streams. On a warm sunny day, I
take a swim with my clothes on or wash them in the creek. Wash downstream
from trail crossings and get your water upstream.
But it's a fact of life that hikers stink. You'll stop noticing after a
while, and nobody else will care either.
David

How do you guys clean your clothes besides in town? I'm planning on using
baby wipes to clean my body but I wasn't sure about how people clean their
clothes if at all
