Brian,
I have been using the Merrill Moab Ventilator on section hikes and other backpacks for over 3 years ( 3 pairs).  I find I get about a 1,000 miles per pair, with some shoe goo repair needed between 700 and 800  miles.  They fit great, with no blisters.  I have extra wide feet.
