Personally,  I'd go with the mini Sawyer.  It has 100% greater filter specification (0.1 vs 0.2 micron) and is rated at 100k gal vs 264 gal. You can configure the mini to drink from a bottle, much like the straw, but you can also use in several configuration that the straw can not. The straw seems to limit you to only some basic configurations. Just my thoughts.
