[pct-l] Why I'm I carrying an alcohol stove?

If you want hot food now, nothing beats something like a Jet :Boil, even
for one person. It's well worth the extra weight and fuel logistics.  The
image of miserable hungry hikers waiting for their alcohol stove to heat
their food, while I lounge around momentarily sated, sticks with me.
