Here’s a video with the lost/missing hiker’s gear lying on the ground. 
I’m not sure if it’s already been gone through... 
or configured how it was found?

At the 1:11 mark a searcher in the background on the left,
has marked the terrain and appears to be taking a picture. 

Authorities saying- 
the hiker might be somewhere else 
and that he possibly doesn’t know there’s a search underway, 
with multiple teams looking for him, 
is an utterly ridiculous notion.   

There’s a Trek 45 + backpack, 
eggshell mattress, 
one hiking pole, 
tent stuff sack (Ozark Trail,) 
blue and grey tent and black (bungee) poles, 
small orange stuff sack in a side pocket of the pack 
(possible bivy or emergency shelter/blanket?)
