All Day Long,

By hitching E to Chelan, do you mean N then E over Rainy Pass, or S then E
over Stevens Pass?

Tuesday, 8-4-15: just got off the PCT (NB) at the closure (jct @ Suittle
trail). 6.5 mile hike to trailhead parking area (follows the Suiattle River
= lots of water). I hustled and made it in under 2 hrs. 10 cars there @
0900. No one present. USFS truck pulled up & I yogi'd a ride with them to
Darrington (6 miles south on 530; big market, motel, Bradley's Diner, etc).
Road walk from TH lot (day hikers) to Hwy 530 = 21 miles, but several CGs
(Bucks Creek @ 10 miles) enroute so good ride possibilities.
I'm planning to hitch east around the lake to Chelan for ferry to Stehekin
where shuttle is running daily and PO is open Mon/Sat. Others are re
supplying in Darrington IGA market & heading for the PCT @ Rainy Pass (bypassing
Stehekin: very tempting).

All Day Long

Why? To experience the moment. I like to hike.
