After you come down off the trail to ST 530....you have a road walk on
narrow two lane to Rockport and a little wider 2 lane on hwy 20 to Rainy
Pass. Don't know if your horse is comfortable with fast traffic and trucks
on the narrow 2 lane of 530. Some hikers are taking this route. As of today
I'm not finding "for sure" info if the trail is open from Rainy Pass to
Stehekin. It was open a few days ago but I think it may have been revised.
If anyone has updated info for the trail from Stehekin to Rainy Pass please
let me know. Some hikers are taking the bus to Wenatchee then to Chelan and
taking the boat to Stehekin.
