[pct-l] Health Insurance on the trail

Same. I didn't want to spend time shopping around on one of the insurance exchanges, though that probably would have been cheaper.
What I did do, however, is switch to a high-deductible plan with a HSA during open enrollment last year. When paying out of pocket under COBRA, it is much cheaper than my company's standard plan. I can actually use the HSA funds to pay for the premiums, further reducing the effective cost.
