For anyone in Austin TX who is considering hiking on the PCT see 
"Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) Hiking Basics" at

presented by a member of their staff.

*Description: *This class is designed to give the prospective Pacific 
Crest Trail hiker and backpacker a solid foundation for planning a trip 
on the trail. We'll focus on trip planning skills for day hikes, section 
hikes, and thru hikes. Learn some basic resources and tips to get you 
started on your trip planning. This course helps start you on a journey 
of a lifetime.

I'm helping out by bringing some poster-sized pictures to decorate the 
room from my hike this year.
