I was up on Mulkey Pass when that weather hit. Wind gusts hit 60 for many hours during the night. I had to hold onto my six moon designs shelter pole to prevent it from snapping! I thought at any minute I was going to be sitting beneath a sheared and shattered shelter - ha! Two days before I was post holing for several miles going south towards KM. Just a part of the pct experience. I don't see any snow in the forecast, so the hikers getting north of KM now shouldn't have too much problems with snow on the trail except for patches. But the nights can get quite cold, and the weather in the Sierras can change in a heartbeat. I doubt if they need any katoolahs or ice axes up to the portal. At that point my info is sketchy.
