[pct-l] CA Campfire Permit

I keep hearing that there will "probably" be a ban on stoves (alcohol and
maybe gas canister as well.) Is there a way to find out the current status
of bans on stoves other than by looking at individual jurisdiction websites?
(i.e. Cleveland Nat'l Forest, San Bern. Nat'l Forest, etc...) Does PCTA
post these on their website if and when they occur?

Subject: [pct-l] CA Campfire Permit

For hikers who will be cooking in California (hopefully not in SoCal this
year), a campfire permit is required. Below is a link to get your permit
online. This site is a big improvement over the old USDA/Sequioa NF site
that kind of made a joke out of the process. Be extra safe out there this
year.
