[pct-l] Snow on San Jacinto

Sunday 3/9/14 my family hiked up Devils Slide to Saddle Junction and then
headed south on the PCT.  The snow coverage was about 90% but it was very
thin, only about 3-4" thick.  There was also a good bit of ice.  The
temperature up there was about 50 degrees  As of right now the temperature
at the top of the tram, which is a little higher then Saddle Junction, is
51 degrees.  Just a heads up for people who try the alternate that climbs
up to the lookout tower on Tahquitz Peak, the trail cutting over to the PCT
is on the north side of the ridge and it is icy.
