Hi Timberline,

Regarding SJ, you can check http://www.mtsanjacinto.info
The local hiker community is posting trip reports and trail conditions 
quite often. Note that most, if not all of the reports are from trails 
east of the PCT so you won't get accurate PCT updates, but you get a 
somewhat good indication. You will need to consider that the PCT on the 
north facing slopes will have more snow!

If I'm lucky with the weather and the stars align, I'll be dropping in 
around Mile 181 late March or early April  - maybe see you out there!
