My taste is different from American hikers, since I am a Japanese, not
intended to hike through the PCT, and sometimes hike with my wife. I must
carry huge stuff. ( I will retire next year, therefore, I can hike more
sections )
There are many refined tents. The selection of tent is very complicated. we
must think about many factors. I made up my mind concerning tent selection:
The important principle is: *Pitch at once. *
I had Big Agnes tent for 2 person. I cannot love this tent, because I must
pitch the inner tent firstly, and put the outer tent on it. It is very time
consuming.
We have used Hilleberg Nallo 3 for 9 years. It became too old and heavy.
Now, I have chose Hilleberg Anjan 3. ( net weight 1.7 kg ). It is a very
expensive tent. But if we use this for 10 years, it is payable.
