Walker Pass is way north of Tehachapi; why would you want to go through
there?
You can get a bus from either Mojave or Tehachapi into Bakersfield

Or you can go on to Walker Pass and hitch down to either Oynx, Lake
Isabella, or possibly all the way into Bakersfield. The Kern Country buses
run between Onyx and Lake Isabella

and then another Kern bus into Bakersfield. It stops at both the Amtrak and
Greyhound stations.
