[pct-l] Mountain Fire - Eastern Bypass?

Strongly agree that the "eastern bypass" route is unsuitable for PCT 
hikers to use as a detour. This "bypass" looks to be a long, 
x-country-like canyon descent, rather than any kind of maintained 
trail.  While topos show a spring half way or so between Live Oak Spring 
and the walk-in to Palm Springs, one should not count on being able to 
identify it's location, as well as there being any water at all here 
this year.
