My initial impression is that leaving from south Lake Tahoe via shuttle to Reno seems the most logical. But that means getting through the Sierras post haste. I'm 61 and would have to average a full 20 per day to make it on time if I leave late March or a couple of days later. It seems a close call.<

In an average year, this time frame is not realistic. Most people do
not enter the Sierra at KM till mid June doe to snow pack. Snow will
REALLY slow you down, and a late season storm could kill you. Of
course this is a record low snow year.... but there is lots of winter
left to change that.

I think it would be much more realistic to exit the trail somewhere
between Agua Dulce and Techachipi, get to Lancaster and take the
Metrolink into LA, then fly out of LAX.

All IMHO YMMV
