.56 oz for the Sansa Clip?  Is that a typo?  I looked at Sandisk's info and they are saying 4.4 oz - though that probably includes the charger, earbuds etc...  Can you let us know what the 8Gb Clip itself weighs?  Also' I can't tell from Sandisk's website what type of USB connection it uses - Mini USB, Micro, etc.  I certainly don't want to have to carry another charger.  However if it fits my phone charger and download cable, I'd consider it.

I've used the SanDisk Sansa Clip 8GB.  It weighs in at .56oz but it does have an internal battery.  The playing time is around 10 hours per specs but I typically get closer to 12.  One of the features I like is that there is a Sleep mode that you can select and the device will turn itself off in 2 hours or less.  The device has other features including an FM radio.
