I went from Elk Lake to the WA border last year. Stop at Big Lake Youth Camp-great, helpful folks. Ollalie Lake Resort was also a pleasant surprise. The store had enough to do a resupply, folks were nice. It is for sale, so that may change. And there's a fantastic trail angel at Cascade Locks-Shrek, where you can stay and regroup. Good luck!
