[pct-l] Mosquitoes in Washington

My experience in 2009 was that they were on the wane by late July (as reported by two south bounders) and by the time I got there in August they truly were on the wane and only in a few places were they bothersome. But I had unseasonably cold and rainy weather that August, at least according to the lady at the Kracker Barrel.
