Highway 58 is at Mile 566, not 336 as I misstated below.

I'm exploring the possibility of hiking with several friends from Hikertown
(Mile 518 on Highway 138 near Lancaster, CA) to Highway 58 (Mile 336).
We're mostly older folks, so we'd do it over four days. We could even
leapfrog our cars along the way to make life easier. But here is the
question: I see quite a number of wind farms in that area, and roads
leading up to all the wind turbines. Are those roads blocked by locked
gates, or can anyone drive up along them to get near the PCT?

Also, does anyone know if that area recieved any snow in the recent storms
here in Southern California?
