[pct-l] Filter vs. Chlorine dioxide

I agree. The Sawyer Mini is the way to go, and it is great inline for
gravity feed if you fill bottles as I do. Super light, quick and easy to
use. I recommend coupling it with Platypus bags however as the Sawyer bags
are prone to holes. I went through 4 or 5 of them on the CDT. But the
filter is wonderful. Don't let it freeze, or it will be compromised
however. Ice crystals can damage the filter, opening up spaces for the
tiny critters to get through. I keep mine in a small zip lock in my
sleeping bag with me at night in freezing temps and in my pocket if it's
freezing in the day.

The Sawyer Minis were on sale through Amazon for just under $20 last week.
I got 2 of them to have as backup.
