I know of an epic hiker that left the border back in the beginning of January. 
He’s probably closing in on (Kennedy Meadows south), which is at mile 702, right about now. 
This is definitely the year to start early. 
Me? I’m leaving the southern border with Evil Goat on Mar. 7th. 
I would have left in January too, but I’ve got a couple of doctor’s appointments to get out of the way.
