I so totally agree with this. While I believe in prayer, and covet that
too, please show me how you care. I have been down with a broken leg (from
my fall on the horse on the PcT) and the first few weeks were torture! I'm
up and running now, but slowly. I have tons of gear to replace. I can't
afford it all at once along with all the vet bills and hospital bills. I've
had friends coming to care for my horse, while I can't, and I am so thankful
for them! But, I had a friend visit me from back east, and he never once
asked how he could help and expected me to serve him! It was a visit
scheduled long before the accident, but I was pretty unhappy that he
wouldn't even clear his coffee cup from the table, let alone ask to help.
My husband has been working 15 hours a day and with the extra care of the
horse is worn out. His test schedule is over now and the horse requires
less care, so things are better, but in the thick of it, my friend could
have been a help, but wasn't. So sad.
