[pct-l] What do you say to mountain bikers on the PCT

Section L has been abused by groups of mountain bikers for years, including, memorably, arriving vans with the names of the offending groups emblazoned on the sides. i found these parked under a "no bikes" sign at a road crossing above Gold Lake in the Lakes District in late September in 2010. They came flying down the trail and rode me off the trail. They're just significantly increasing in numbers.

Say what you will. They don't care. They're prepared to be challanged. The ones that do care aren't on the trail in the first place.
