[pct-l] Nov hike

Patti,
I just got back from skipping around the Sierra's over the last couple of weeks hiking from Kennedy Meadows to Tuolumne Meadows. From what I experienced, the southern Sierra's are still very dry and I had a couple of 10-12 mile stretches between water sources and hasn't had any rain since my hike. With that said, I would think the section between Tehachapi and KM will be even tougher to find water. If you know where the water is and, are willing to pack enough for hiking and cooking at probable "dry" camps, the weather should be very nice this time of year. North of KM, I had Ice in my water bottles in the morning but, when the sun crested the mountain, I was changing into hiking in shorts and a short sleeve shirt and enjoying the sunshine.

Feel free to contact me off list if you would like more info, I just returned from the hike 3 days ago.

Hike On!

(We've done Campo to Deep Creek so far). Am I nuts for thinking any part of this trail is doable in November? If it's not nuts, which 50-60 mile stretch is best? I am still slow and hate snow.
