[pct-l] Final Score

Actually, in those terms we did have a point for the Tree Team.  On day 7 of a 10 day hitch I strained a back muscle.  I couldn't get off my hands and knees without help.  I'm easily 100lbs overweight and I was carrying a 35 lb. backpack with a chainsaw in it.  Also walking 10 or 12 miles in a day sometimes.  Way to much for this fat old man.  Next year we'll have a full crew and perhapse a couple donkeys to carry the load.   Everything we did this year  was done with 2 or 3 people.  Next year I'm hoping to have 4 to 6 people.

Thanks to you and the volunteers for all your hard work.

Since you did not mention it, I assume it is safe to say the score also
included:

Trees: 0 (volunteers removed, folded, spindled, or mutilated)

It seemed everywhere we went there was deferred maintenance.  We were
logging out miles of trail that hadn't been worked on for many years.  We
didn't get to everything I wanted to do, but we gave it the old "College
Try"

So here's the score at the end of the season:
Volunteers: 560 (trees removed)
Trees:  3 (trees we left unsawn)
