[pct-l] Vacuum Sealing Issues

I have an older Food Saver vacuum sealer and what I do is hold down the heat bar sealer part for about 20 seconds after it clicks off.  Prior to using this method I had a few bags fail, but hardly any afterwards.  BTW I recommend the book "Recipes For Adventure" by Glenn McAllister which has tons of information on dehydrating food for backpacking, including tips on using vacuum sealers.
