Thank you for posting that. I remember reading it long ago and it was  
good to read it again. I had read his thru-hiker handbook so many  
times well before I thought I would actually hike the PCT for real.  
One of the many books that kept the dream of "someday" alive for me  
starting at age 10 until I finally really did it at age 43/44.
