Comparing urine to moth balls, and or moth balls to an Opsack’s contents, isn’t a fair comparison seeing how they are quite different. 
My disclaimer however, is that I know of no studies involving the actual use of moth balls in an attempt to repel said beasts.
I do believe it is a worthy endeavor. 

Putting sacks of moth balls around a bear vault loaded with food would get to the core of the argument. Who’s got a bear? hmmm.
