Apparently you missed these two posts earlier today. The answer to your
question seems obvious.

Thomas Figureroa at Kennedy Meadows posted this on Facebook PCT Class of
2013

"up date from the trail : .After Kern River there us almost no water before
the second crossing and the last 30 feet under forester pass is a 60 degree
ice wall. Without Iceaxe not dueable. The north side is full of snow and is
a hard walk down.."

Just got out through Bishop Pass and wanted to let anyone leaving Kennedy
Meadows that all the Passes after Forester till Miur have lots of snow/ice
depending on the time of the day. I met two hikers that were coming from
Miur Pass and they were postholeing to the waist with snowshoes. It seems
that Miur has the most snow, it starts before lake Helen and continues
until lake Sapphire. If you are leaving anytime soon consider that low snow
doesn't mean no snow this time of the year. Even though now it might be
easier following my footsteps.

Enjoy your hike,

Silverfoot
