I'd wait till you need them unless you've got cash to burn. If you're
healing is slow, it may not be for a while. You'll know because your feet
will start to hurt and possibly blister. You're probably good with
whatever you've been walking in until the miles start to add up, then
consider bigger shoes. If your current shoes are uncomfortable or worse,
then by all means get a new pair and consider a bit bigger.
