Yep. Don't believe the instructions on the package for this one.
You'll have to drain the extra water or you'll have
mac & cheese soup.

Some powdered milk can help here also.  Try to avoid the fat-free
versions and go with something like Nido or Milkman.

Other add-ins that are tasty: butter buds, bacon bits, chopped onion,
pepperoni, etc.

Onions are easy to get in town and last quite a while.  If you can
find a salad bar in town it is easy way to add some variety to your
diet also without having to purchase hiker-unfriendly quantities:
boiled eggs, bacon bits, broccoli, pepperoni, chopped meats, etc.

Use up the fresh foods that won't last in your first 24 hours out
of town.
