[pct-l] Smoking on the trail

Yeah, I think you are right on there, Dan.  I totally agree.  People
absolutely need to communicate more truthfully and openly with each other
about their expectations.  We do have an unfortunate sense of what is taboo
in this country, and somehow I suspect that a lot of would-be drivers of
vehicles that might offer rides would feel kinda awkward asking such a
question, but it boils down to this - what do you feel more awkward with?
Asking a simple question or having drugs in your car?
I will admit that as an 18 year old, I was once picked up by a women who
asked, "are you a Christian?".  I bent the truth (ok, I broke it pretty
badly really) and said that I was.  I've always regretted the lie and not
just saying, "well, no, I'm not, but I'm a heckuva nice guy".  Well, I'm
sure it's for that reason that I was passed up for Pope yesterday yet
again!!
