Christian, go to the kickoff website -   siechert.org    then click on
ADZPCTKO 2013 and then click on the Ride Board button.  You can post your
request for a ride from Idyllwild to Lake Morena and back to Idyllwild.
There are usually lots of people heading to the kickoff that swing by places
like Idyllwild, Warner Springs, scissors Crossing, etc. to give rides to
hikers.

Hi,
I'm starting about the 17/18th of April. And I defenitly want to visist the
kickoff.
Is it a good plan to get from Idyllwild to the Kickoff and hopefully back?
Or is this plan too slow/too fast/too ambitious?
I'm quite unsure as this is my first thru hike and I have no idea how fast
I'll be.
Can someone give me a hint on how the buses work in the USA, especially
local buses to get from Idyllwild to Lake Morena?
