Hey River,

There were many more singles on the CDT than doubles, so you're in good
company. Most folks had no complaints at all, but once, a person got wet
in a really savage blow and thunderstorm. The wind shifted 180 degrees in
about 30 seconds and we all found we had pitched our tents with their
mouths directly into the teeth of the storm. Even with this however, all
of us stayed dry except one who got a bit wet in the single and thereafter
borrowed a double Hexamid and did fine for the rest of the hike.

The single is easier to set up than the double, but it's just a matter of
practice.
