I don't think you'll be happy with 6000 calories/day.   I think it is
difficult to put together a menu that averages more than about 110-120
calories per/oz.  It is certainly possible to get more calories but
you probably won't like it (e.g., 2.1 pounds of mixed nuts is about 6000
calories).

At 120 calories per/oz, 6000 calories is 3.125 pounds of food/day, which
is above what most thru-hikers carry.

I think 2 - 2.5 pounds of food per day is common which is roughly 3800-4800
calories per day.  The deficit is generally made up by eating a lot of
food while in town.
