[pct-l] Hammocking in Northern CA

I am setting out to cover the PCT from Seiad Valley south to Donner Pass in a couple of weeks.  Everything I have seen and read indicates that there should not be much of a problem using a hammock through this stretch, so long as I am willing to walk a few extra miles or stop early.  But I need to check before heading out.  Is that really the case?  Is there any significant stretch through there where a hammock is unfeasible?
