[pct-l] HEET

I now use a JetBoil Sol at 10.4 oz. I tried alcohol, but by the time I
include a lighter, cup, pot, cozy - I found I was near the same weight.
(The JetBoil has an integrated lighter, integrated cozy, and of course
integrated cup/pot.)

As for the fuel, the JetBoil consistently boils 10-12 L per 100 g canister.
(This is about 50% better than a Pocket Rocket or similar.) The canister
weighs 7 oz (with the dead weight) and will last me well beyond 10 days -
that's the most I've ever gone without refill. With alcohol, I was using
about 2 oz per day so by the time I reach a 3-4 day trip the fuel weight
starts tilting in favor of the JetBoil.

As a result, the only time take alcohol any more is for a 1-2 night trip.
I LOVE the convenience of the JetBoil. And I have yet to be convinced of
the weight advantages of alcohol if you include EVERYTHING. YMMV...

I know other folks have other ideas, so let me know if I'm missing
something.

Personally, I'd scrap it for a Jet-Boil. Using it twice a day, one small
canister, because it boils so much faster, was still going strong 25 days
into my hike (that includes heating water to wash dishes after meals)...
