Info:  I just saw on the National Forest website that Rt. 2 in WA west
from Leavenworth (that crosses the PCT near Skykomish) will be closed
from Aug. 25-30.  That means thumbing a ride down to Skykomish will be
impossible.  Do the Dinsmores do shuttles?

Question:  I'm not sure what's the state of the PCT around Glacier
Peak in WA.  Is the PCT old route functional?  People on the list
recommend the long forest service detour or Jonathan Ley's
alternative?
